Scientists from China's Tianjin University have discovered a new method for producing ultra-durable rayon, the Xinhua News Agency reported.

The agency indicates that the index of durability of artificial silk made by the new method has increased by 70 percent, according to "Russia Today". She adds: Scientists have tried to introduce natural silkworm silk into a chemical formula, by melting the adhesive coating that helps break down the silk proteins.

As a result, they were able to change the structure of silk fibers, increasing their durability by 70%, compared to spider threads. Experts hope that the new technology will be widely used in the medical industries
